In case you missed this weekend’s Seattle Times, reporter Eric Pryne and graphic artist Mark Nowlin put together an informative article and fantastically detailed map of the development that’s occurred in the South Lake Union area since 2000. New research labs, medical office space, condos and apartments have transformed much of the tired commercial space.  Paul Allen’s Vulcan is the largest land owner and Amazon.com with their 1.7 million square feet is the largest user. Considering the state of the market, it’s refreshing to see that nearly 20 projects have been completed or are under construction since the beginning of 2008. See detailed map here.
